Umrah visa information
We apply for your Umrah visa as part of every Umrah package. This page explains what you need. Saudi rules change often, so we confirm the latest requirements with you before you book. (Information checked October 2026.)
Who can apply, and how
- From Pakistan: Pakistani passport holders apply through a travel agent working with a licensed Saudi Umrah company. We handle the full application for you.
- From the UK: British citizens can also apply online themselves, but most pilgrims choose a package with us so that the visa, hotels and transport are booked together, as Saudi rules require.
Documents we need from you
- passport valid for at least 6 months from your travel date, with at least 2 blank pages
- a recent passport-size photo with a plain white background
- your CNIC (Pakistan) or proof of UK residence if you are not a British citizen
- meningitis (ACWY) vaccination certificate
- for children: birth certificate (or B-Form in Pakistan)
- for married couples travelling together: marriage certificate if requested
Names on all documents must match your passport exactly.
Vaccinations
- The meningitis ACWY vaccine is required for pilgrims aged 1 year and over. Have it at least 10 days before you travel.
- Other vaccines, such as polio or yellow fever, are required for travellers from certain countries. Seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines are recommended.
- In Pakistan, get your certificate from an approved vaccination centre. In the UK, ask your GP or a travel clinic.
Hotel and transport bookings
Saudi rules require your hotels and ground transport to be booked through approved providers before the visa is issued. Our packages include these, so you do not need to arrange anything yourself.
Women and children
- Under current Saudi rules, women aged 18 and over can apply for an Umrah visa without a mahram.
- Children under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
Visa validity
- You must enter Saudi Arabia within the period shown on your visa (currently 30 days from issue).
- You can stay for the number of days printed on the visa (up to 90 days). The visa cannot be extended. Overstaying leads to fines and can stop you getting future visas.
- Each Umrah season has a last date for visa issue, entry and departure. We will tell you these dates when you book.
In Saudi Arabia: the Nusuk app
Download the Nusuk app before you travel. It is used to book your time slot for Umrah and your visit to the Rawdah in Masjid an-Nabawi. Our group leaders help you book these.
Health insurance
Basic Saudi medical insurance is included with the Umrah visa. We also recommend separate travel insurance that covers cancellation and lost baggage.
